We Check For 21
Now in its third year, We Check for 21 was developed to heighten the awareness of underage drinking and effect system change in the community. This program reaches out to youth, parents, key community and school leaders, policy makers, and local businesses. Local liquor serving and selling establishments were asked for their pledge to assist in reducing underage drinking. The goal is to decrease the number of young people under 21 years of age who are using and abusing alcohol. Vendors have signed pledges to heighten the awareness of underage drinking. The vendors are given literature and other materials to distribute and display in their establishment.
